A Bespoke Wedding Ceremony at The Grand Hotel Scarborough 🌿
They say "it takes a village" to raise a child, but sometimes, it takes a hotel lobby to start a marriage!
As a Yorkshire wedding celebrant, my role is to ensure that every couple feels celebrated and supported. When I arrived at The Grand Hotel in Scarborough to officiate a bespoke wedding ceremony for Michelle Louise and Lee, it quickly became clear that they were facing their big moment completely alone.
When a Hotel Lobby Becomes a Wedding Venue 🥂
When the ceremony time approached, it was clear that the couple didn't have their expected guests. But in that moment, the true community spirit of Yorkshire took over. I watched in awe as the Assistant Manager stepped in, gathering hotel visitors and staff to witness the vows. People who had woken up as complete strangers ended the afternoon cheering as wedding guests!
It wasn't the ceremony they had originally planned, but with a room full of new friends, it was—in every sense of the word—perfect. It serves as a beautiful reminder of why I founded Tip Your Hat: my goal is to hold space for love, no matter the circumstances.
Why Choose a Yorkshire Wedding Celebrant? 🌾
Whether you are planning an intimate elopement at The Grand Hotel Scarborough or a large celebration across Yorkshire, having a dedicated celebrant means having someone who can adapt to any situation and keep the focus on what truly matters: your unique love story.
Thank you to Michelle and Lee for letting me be part of your day, and to the wonderful people of Scarborough who stepped in to make it unforgettable.
